My Mom & I had an excellent experience at The Captain Kidd on Tuesday evening. It was a beautiful evening to sit outside. We had a table along the railing overlooking the harbor. The food was perfectly prepared. She had the Seafood en Croute & I had the Fisherman's platter both of which I would highly recommend! But best of all was the outstanding service we received from out waiter Colin! He treated us like royalty and catered to our every need !! As you know service can make or break your experience even if the food and ambiance is perfect. Keep up the great work Colin & thank you for making our evening perfect in every way! Excellent food, excellent venue , & amazing service.
The location is great. Very nice to sit out on the deck by the water. The beer selection is ok although they don't serve with pint glasses. I think they are 10 oz glasses. For the price, they should be pints. The bartenders don't know how to pour a proper Guinness. The food is good. Overall, I like the place. It's all about location.
Truly historic venue with excellent service, yummy food, and good selection of drinks. Dessert was divine. We had fish & Chips, Fisherman platter, simple salad, seafood bisque, key lime pie and bread pudding. Would recommend all of it! Nice water view and boats. Only downside was cold draft from broken window at my back.
This was good. Food was very yum. 10/10. Also my server ISABELLA was super! So polite and smile a lot. Nice view. She even offered to move us outside for a nicer view (so kind). I also purchased some t shirts and will sport them all over Massachusetts! Will come again!!
View is great and service was strong. The food is not very good. There were shell pieces in the raw oysters. My fish taco tasted like it had been sitting for a while and was bland. The prices are high. I will look for a better option next time I visit.
